The view from our spacious room, looking out over the river, was great. It was a rather pleasant stay, though some of the beams were low enough that we hit our heads a few times while using the sink. There was no shower in the room, just a toilet and sink, so we had to use the shared showers.

The indoor and outdoor onsens were lovely, and our room was clean and well equipped. The staff were friendly and very hospitable. It’s a bit outside the town centre, but a great little find if you want to see the famous morning mist at the lake.

The onsen was really good, though the shower facilities are in the hot spring area. We had a very clean tatami room looking out toward Kirin Lake, and it was about a 20-minute walk from Yufuin station. We didn't try the restaurant, but enjoyed our stay.

Breakfast came in a lovely room with stunning lake views, and it was a standard Western-style meal. The location is right by the lake, with free parking and just a short walk to the main street and sights. Our room was generously sized, with a microwave, kettle, and sink kitchenette. There are two baths on rotation: one is outdoors and drains to the lake, while the other is a simpler indoor bath. Highly recommend.

The breakfast was yummy, and we could see mist on the lake in the morning. It’s only a short walk to the main street and Yufuin floral village. We had the indoor and outdoor hot springs to ourselves both evening and morning, which was lovely. The room at Kinrinko Toyonokuni Resort @ Pension Kinrinko Toyonokuni was very clean and good value, even though the outside looks old. The road in is super narrow, so be careful. The car park is nearby, but ask the staff exactly where it is.
