The lounge fireplace made a lovely place to relax and chat with other guests in the evening, and the big drying room downstairs was just what we needed after skiing. It’s only a short walk to Nagasaka Gondola, the restaurants and SPArena. Our family of five stayed in January 2026, with two bedrooms along a private corridor and our own shower, toilet and basin. There was plenty of room for our suitcases, and everything was clean. Breakfast was generous and tasty each day. The staff were really helpful. We’d happily recommend it and would come back.

My brother injured his medial cruciate ligament on the first day of our two-week trip, so he spent the rest of it stuck at the lodge. The staff at Kaiya made a hard situation much easier. They were wonderful with him, always finding time for a chat and making sure he never felt like a burden. They’re the reason we’re eager to return in 2027. Honestly, I wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

The lodge is close to the gondola, which worked well for skiing. Our room was cozy and the amenities were clean. Breakfast is cooked fresh and served at 8 each morning. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and had plenty of useful information about the town and nearby area. We had an amazing stay at Kaiya.

We had a great stay at Kaiya. The cooked breakfast was included every day, and the rooms were a good size. The staff were especially helpful and friendly. My only suggestions would be to upgrade the heaters and offer a choice of pillows.

Our self-contained studio apartment was exactly what we needed. The staff were fantastic, so friendly and helpful, and we’re already looking forward to coming back next year. Thanks so much, Kaiya Nozawa.
