The penthouse has amazing views from the windows and a lovely living area. It’s very spacious, with a fully equipped kitchen and room for 8-10 people. Each room has an en-suite toilet, and there’s also a washing machine and dryer. The staff were amazing. They can arrange Yamato luggage shipping, and there are two onsens available for private use.

Just wrapped up six days at Kawamotoya. The room, shuttle, onsen and staff all came together perfectly. Hope I can come back soon. 🫶🏼

We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was spacious, clean and well set up for us. There are lots of good places to eat nearby, and the shuttle to the gondola worked really well for skiing. The staff were cheerful, friendly and very helpful with restaurant and taxi bookings. Highly recommended.

Leaving with great sadness, and hoping we can come back. Our room was spotless and beautifully made, with everything we needed, including a kitchenette. We had a lovely view across snowy rooftops to the mountains, and the enormous futon was the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept on. The staff were warm and welcoming, and we really enjoyed hearing about their interesting and impressive backgrounds during our chats. Nothing was too much trouble. I especially appreciated having the driver available, though town and the ski lifts are only a short walk away.

The front desk team were delightful, efficient, friendly and incredibly helpful. Each morning we took the shuttle to the lift after a great breakfast and excellent coffee at the Hardings cafe. Town’s bars and cafes are only a short walk away. Our apartment was so well equipped, and had the biggest, most comfortable beds I think I’ve ever slept in. We had the best time at Kawamotoya.
