A lovely couple takes care of this very nice homestay. They provide heaters, towels, and toothbrushes, and we could bathe in the private bath in the evening. We’ll come back again.

A welcoming Japanese family runs this simple, traditional ryokan. The room had tatami mats and futons, and the facilities were basic.

We stayed at Kichiba for two nights, from 2020/02/07 to 2020/02/08, and were quite happy with the accommodation and comfort. The only letdown was that the owner seemed rather stern from check-in through checkout. As guests who had come from far away, we didn't feel much warmth in the welcome, which was a bit of a shame.

We return every year, and we're grateful for the couple's warm hospitality each time. The inn is also very handy, right beside Nitta no Yu hot spring.

Breakfast was really good, and the place has the feel of a traditional inn in Nozawa Onsen.
