Guest House Obama 21:00 was a lovely place to stay. It mixes traditional Japanese and Western styles in a partly renovated house, with tatami rooms and futons alongside modern Western kitchens, bathrooms, and showers. The owner was friendly and spoke good English. They offer free local sake until 9 PM to encourage guests to socialize, which explains the “21:00” in the name. Big thumbs up.
A stylish, cozy guesthouse that keeps a Japanese feel while giving it a modern touch. The staff were super friendly and happy to suggest things to do around town. The rooms and facilities were clean, and the prices felt fair for such a nice place. In the shared dorm, you sleep on a futon rather than a bed, in the traditional Japanese style.
A great hostel with a fun mix of Japanese and international travelers. The hosts were fun, the place was very clean, and there’s free sake after 9 pm, which is where the name comes from. Showers, Wi-Fi, and the kitchen are all free to use. If you want to stay right in Obama, this is the spot.
Lovely staff, a beautiful place, and free tastings of local saké. Definitely worth stopping at if you’re in Obama.
We stayed here as a place to sleep on a touring trip with three friends. It was my first time at a guesthouse, so I was nervous, but the staff and owner were kind and considerate, and I felt at ease right away. The place is clean and inexpensive, which is a great combination. At 9 pm they serve one or two complimentary drinks, and all the guests can sit together and chat. It was a lot of fun. I don’t drink alcohol, so I joined in with juice instead! 😄 I’d love to stay here again. Cheering you on, and keep up the good work!
