I’ve stayed here many times, and I think it’s the best in Odawara. The front desk staff are always polite and helpful, the rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, and there’s free parking beside the hotel. It’s also well placed for dining and shopping. I’ll be back. Two small things can be inconvenient: rooms near the large second-floor public bath can pick up the bathroom door slamming and hair dryer noise at any hour, so depending on your room, a good night’s sleep can be hard. Also, there’s no electric kettle, just a small electric heater built into the desk. It takes a long time to boil enough for about one cup, so I bring my own thermos and boil water several times to fill it.

When I checked in, I was stunned because I couldn’t get into my house, but the front desk staff listened kindly and helped calm me down. I’d left my house keys in my car when I took it far away for an inspection, and my family was on a trip, so I stayed here. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable, and I could see Mount Fuji from the window. There was dust on the windowsill, which is why I gave four stars. The public bath was comfortable too, and breakfast was delicious. I gave four stars for service because there was no lotion, moisturizer, or cotton swabs in the room or bath. It’s best to bring those or buy them at a nearby supermarket. Since it’s close to home, I’ll use the hotel again in emergencies or when relatives or friends can’t stay at my house.
