At least the staff here understand a bit more English than at other hotels I’ve stayed in. Still, the room wasn’t very clean even though it was supposed to be ready at check-in. The rooms are small, and my bed creaked. It’s an affordable hotel, but I dislike Hotel Live Max’s policies of 10 a.m. checkout and 3 p.m. check-in. A guest gets only 19 hours a day when renting a room, and that’s at least how it is for the first night. There’s no restaurant area or breakfast available either.

Right by the central train station, and incredibly good value. I paid about a third of what a similar room would cost in Tokyo.

The room was compact and the location convenient, but check-in was disappointing. We arrived a little early hoping to check in, and the front desk staff member was unwelcoming and spoke dismissively. She kept an attitude while waiting for us to hand over our luggage.

The room was clean, and the staff were friendly and efficient. It’s super convenient for the station. The bed transferred a lot of movement, though. It might be fine if you’re sleeping alone, but next to my wife, every move she made, even a wrist twitch when she coughed, shook the bed and woke me up.

The room and location were great 👍, though the bed seemed a little tilted.
