The receptionist was so kind and helpful. We only stayed one night, but the traditional room felt really cozy. Such a great place for a ski trip.

For about $50 a night, this is a good value compared with $200 in Hakuba. There are shuttle stops for JR Omachi station and the ski slopes, including Jigatake, Kayashimayari, Goyru, and all the Hakuba slopes. The owner was very nice, and western rooms are available.

We liked the place so much that we extended our stay. The room was clean, breakfast was lovely, and the staff were warm and easy to talk to. There weren't many other guests, maybe because it was off season, and seeing a storm clear over the mountains was unforgettable. I didn't use the onsen. It was a welcome break from crowded city life.

The mountain views were lovely, and it felt tucked away while still being close enough to ski resorts and summer activities. It's a Japanese-style hotel with very reasonable prices. I'd happily stay here again.

The food was prepared with a lot of care, and everything was very clean. Our air conditioner wasn't working properly, but the staff member did her best to sort it out and eventually fixed it. We all slept comfortably after that. The service was excellent.
