The apartment was clean and well placed for getting around Osaka. But it was very, very noisy, right beside the train line with trains passing every couple of minutes. Even the triple glazed doors didn’t keep much of the loud noise out.

It was convenient having a washing machine, stove, and elevator, and the rooms were very clean and well equipped. Shinsaibashi and several shopping malls are within walking distance. Just be aware that the streets outside get really busy on weekends because of the nearby bars and clubs.

The rooms felt small for three people, and both the room temperature and water temperature were unpredictable. With all the street activity in the early morning and the noisy location, it seemed expensive.

Make sure you search for “Apartment Hotel 11 Umeda Kamiyama” specifically. Searching “Apartment Hotel 11 Umeda” or something similar brings up the wrong place. The stay itself was pretty nice, with more than enough room for two.

We were glad to choose one of their apartment hotels again after spending 27 nights at another of their Tokyo properties. In Osaka we stayed eight days, and the location couldn’t have worked better. Osaka station and the nearest metro are easy to reach on foot. The unit had a washer, a nice balcony, and a fully equipped kitchen. Life supermarket is very close, and the party street is just around the corner, but we didn’t hear noise. We’d definitely come back.
