ATTA Toyosaki - Hostel

For a longer stay, the room had enough space for me to do yoga and bodyweight exercises, though it was small by American standards. The bed was okay, but could've been more comfortable. The air con blew cold, but I think the filter needs changing. Wi-Fi was good, laundry was available on every floor, and staff were around if anything came up. My request to add one day was granted. It's near a local subway station and a 7/11 Konbini, but far from JR Osaka station. The bathroom was clean, though I noticed mildew on the shower curtain and its bar. I also wish there'd been cooking equipment to make a meal or heat water for ramen.

It feels like a Japanese apartment, homey even though the place doesn't look brand new. You need to clean up after yourself, and the staff are very kind. They let me add another night, too. Nakatsu Sta. is very close, and Umeda is walkable in about 15 minutes if you don't mind the walk. I had a really wonderful stay.

It was cozy, clean, and cheap. If you're visiting from outside the country, have your passport ready to show the owner when you check in.

Basic, no-frills apartments for weekly rent, with a good location and helpful staff. Nothing luxurious, but the quality for the price is excellent.
