I stayed 5D4N in a Single Room, and it wasn’t what I expected. There was almost no natural light. The small window was covered by blinds, and even with the curtains moved, all I could see was the next building’s walls. The walls were kind of thin, so I could hear the neighbors, though I didn’t mind that much. There was a bedside lamp, but turning it on felt like sleeping beside the Sun. On my second night, I smelled something like cleaning agents. There were small gaps under the door where light and air came through. It upset my stomach, so I had to open the window. Only a few amenities were free, and you have to pay for some small things. The staff seemed friendly and approachable, and I think most of them speak English. I never talked with them, but whenever I got back, there seemed to be some social dinner event in the lobby. I loved seeing that, and they looked like they were having fun. For getting there, don’t trust Google Maps if it tells you to get off at TANIMACHI 6-CHOME Station, Tanimachi6chome. Get off at Matsuyamachi Station instead, find Exit 2, and it’s a 5-10 minute walk from there.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and I had a good stay in the single room. It’s quite small, but works well if all you need is a private place to sleep. There’s a gap between the door and floor, so hallway noise could carry through if people are rowdy. Convenience stores aren’t too far away. The subway stations are about a 10-15 minute walk, which is manageable if you don’t have mobility issues.
The shared space felt cozy, and our room was clean and comfortable, though a little cramped. The walls are thin, but our neighbors were considerate and quiet. Staff noise was the main issue, especially in the morning. On Wednesday, the long-haired girl picking up laundry was talking and walking around without much care 😔.
The receptionist who checked me in was local, funny, and easy to talk with in English. I stayed two nights in a room with a private bathroom, and everything was perfect.
We booked five nights for four people, but the room we got was very small. I noticed the room next door was a little bigger, even though it was shared, and felt the hotel could have made a gesture by putting four people traveling together in a larger room. When we asked about moving, they said we could do it for an extra charge. I don't remember the exact amount, but it wasn't cheap. We declined and asked to end our stay; they refused, saying our “reason is insufficient.” I wouldn't recommend sleeping here. Do yourself a favor and find a hotel with better service and a better location.
