It’s a decent place to spend a few days exploring Osaka, though finding it the first time can be tricky if you don’t know Japanese. Have maps ready or try to arrive during the day. Look for Exit 1 at Sakaisuji Hommachi Station. There’s a Metro station less than a five-minute walk away, plus several convenience stores and restaurants nearby, and a pretty little park around the corner. Osaka Castle is also within walking distance. The place is reasonably sized and has a well-equipped bathroom. There’s no kitchen, but you can manage food needs for a few days, and there’s a discount supermarket not far away, as shown in the image.

Good place ❤️❤️
We were travelling as mothers with elementary school-age children. Our four-bed room was spacious and clean, so the two mother-child pairs could relax and enjoy the stay. The beds were especially comfortable. I slept so deeply I overslept! The hotel is clean and quiet, away from the main entertainment district, and about a 15-minute taxi ride from Namba. We happened to meet the owners as we were leaving. They were a wonderful couple, full of hospitality and very much in the lively spirit of Osaka. I’ll definitely come back next time. It’s basically an unmanned hotel, so you have to take care of everything yourself, from checking in on a tablet to verifying the electronic key sent by email. There’s also no elevator, and carrying luggage up to our fourth-floor room was tough. That could be hard for guests with small children, older people, or anyone with mobility issues.
After booking, read the email carefully and follow the tablet’s directions and check-in should be fine, even though the hotel is unmanned. I’d been nervous after reading reviews about difficult check-in, but it caused no problems. The room was clean, spacious, and reasonably priced. With a convenience store close by, we were comfortable for several nights with our children. We were on the third floor, and there’s no elevator, only stairs, so keep that in mind if walking is difficult.
There’s a convenience store and a ramen shop nearby, and I’d consider coming back once you’ve dealt with the slightly troublesome check-in. The price felt quite reasonable, especially with accommodation costs generally going up as inbound tourism recovers. The facilities felt new and clean, the room was spacious and very comfortable, and the bathroom had a large, easy-to-use bathtub and shower area. Because there are no adjacent rooms, we didn’t hear noise from next door, which made the stay comfortable. Just be aware that there’s a separate cleaning fee on top of the accommodation fee. It’s unreasonable to miss that and then complain later.
