Beehive Hostel Osaka

The rooms are nice and clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. There are shower rooms, a powder room, and enough comfort rooms for all the guests. You can rent a towel and toothbrush set. Free coffee, milk, and really tasty bread at breakfast are a big plus. I’ll stay here again on my next visit for sure.

The staff were helpful whenever we needed something, including making a restaurant reservation in Osaka and booking Universal Studio tickets. They speak Chinese and Japanese, too. The place is comfortable, and the subway station is close by.

We found bikes to rent and the concierge was a big help figuring out the city and how to get to Kyoto. It’s a cute hostel, with a rooftop and free coffee in the morning. Booking a room at the last minute was easy, and it worked well for a quick trip.

The hostel has a small, homey, family feel, and everyone on staff made us feel welcome. On our last time there, we spoke with the owner, Takashi, and he was so friendly, genuine, and funny that it made our stay a five-star experience. We stayed four nights. Breakfast was toast and orange juice, and free bike rental was a nice bonus. Our little room had three beds, a TV, and a clothing rack, but everything we needed was there. The main drawbacks were a strong tatami smell and sunlight coming in when a bed was near the window. Opening the window cleared the smell completely.
