Hotel Code Shinsaibashi

My fiancée and I booked three nights, but left after two and paid to stay somewhere else so we could sleep. The room and amenities were very small, but the pub downstairs was the main problem. There seems to be no soundproofing. From our third-floor room we could hear every conversation, along with intense yelling, swearing, and drink orders, right up to the pub's 2am closing. I know the area has bars like this, but the lack of soundproofing is ridiculous. When we told the staff we were leaving, he just said it was noisy. We were told there'd be no refund. The small apology didn't feel sincere, and when I asked for a higher-up's contact details to file a formal complaint, the concierge called someone and laughed, then told me I couldn't do that and could only leave a review. DO NOT STAY HERE.

The location is convenient, but the noise made it impossible for us to rest properly during our three-night stay. The first night, a bar downstairs was loud with singing, shouting, and other disturbances until about 2:00 am. We were in a room on the 3rd floor and asked to move because of it. For the remaining two nights we were moved to the 5th floor, but the noise continued and the hotel didn't adequately address it. Anyone looking for a quiet, restful place should consider somewhere else.

The bed was comfortable, and the usual Japanese amenities were there. The hotel is in a great spot, easy to reach from Shinsaibashi train station, with lots of restaurants nearby and everything walkable. Highly recommend.

Being close to the subway and Dotonburi was convenient, but the room's cleanliness fell short. The sheet was rough and had a hole in it. There was also a pub downstairs, and some rowdy noise carried up.
