I couldn't even stay in the room for 30 minutes. My allergies became unbearable and I was coughing a lot, yet we still had to pay for it. I absolutely don't recommend this place. The room seemed to have been a commercial space before, and its glass door didn't feel secure at all. The concrete floor, dirty walls, dusty furniture, and old slippers made a bad impression. The shower was moldy. It was very disorganized, with the hair dryer beside the microwave in the kitchen. Under the bed were dusty bits of things that had been left or thrown there. It was extremely dirty.

Getting in touch with them is incredibly hard, and a reply can take days. Service was slow, and for the price the accommodation wasn't even that good. There are better places to stay. I had a terrible experience and wouldn't go here.

There isn't any reception staff, so check-in time isn't something you need to worry about. The location is great, right by the Black Gate.

The Shanghai food here is delicious and tastes authentic.
