Courtyard Osaka Honmachi by Marriott Hotel

The extra breakfast costs ¥3800 on the day, or ¥3040 if you book it a day ahead, which is a good discount. Overall, it felt like good value. The room was clean, fit the two of us, and the subway station and nearby shops made it easy to get what we needed. Traffic from the highway was noticeable, though not too bad. Staff were polite and attentive. At busy times, there may be a longer wait for one of the two elevators.

The rooms are a little small, but they’re nicely fitted out with what you need. I loved the steam shower. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the hotel is in a convenient area. A high-end Courtyard at a great price, and I’d recommend it.

It’s easy to get around from here, with two metro lines nearby and Namba and Tennoji just a few stops away. There are restaurants, supermarkets, and convenience stores close by, without the crowds of those areas. The staff were warm, helpful, and efficient. Kumara, Nanasa, and Roshan made what I expected to be a simple stay feel comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, and the lobby coffee machine, onsen, and laundry facilities were great amenities. We look forward to coming back.

The only drawback for me was the walk to the train station, especially with luggage. The other Courtyard in Osaka is closer to one. This Courtyard has a new-looking lobby and room, with a sensible room size and nice furniture layout. The employees were professional, and the cafe breakfast, ordered from the menu rather than served as a buffet, was decent.
