Dormy Inn Premium Namba ANNEX Natural Hot Spring

We took the airport bus from Donton Plaza, just a three-minute walk away. It went directly to KIX and cost Yen$1800/pax, which was very convenient. The hotel was also close to shopping and food, and the reception staff were friendly and helpful. Our deluxe double rooms were spacious and clean, and there’s an onsen on the top floor. The pillows were very flat and uncomfortable, with no neck support. We only got one each and asked for extras, but even those didn’t help. The ladies' onsen was small and not very clean, though the men's was good. There were lots of noisy tourists who didn’t follow onsen etiquette, which was disappointing. Staff should be there to explain the expected behavior and keep an eye on cleanliness and everyone’s experience. The lobby outside the onsen is very limited too.

The staff were wonderful and accommodating, and there was plenty of room. The facilities were great, especially the onsite onsen. It’s also close to delicious food, which is easy to find in Japan. I’ll definitely stay here again on my next Osaka trip.

We ended up leaving the next morning and gave up the remaining night of our stay. After we moved rooms, the bed was very firm, the pillows flat, and the windows did little to block sound. We heard emergency vehicles pass several times and people shouting outside. The 10th-floor room itself was clean and in good condition. We’d first been assigned a room on the 6th floor. As soon as we stepped out of the elevator, the whole corridor smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. About two room doors were open, and we could smell it slightly inside our room as well. We reported it and asked staff to check upstairs. They said it came from the neighboring building and would eventually go away, but we found that unlikely and suspected we’d been put on a smoking floor. Staff then moved us to the 10th floor.

The staff were great and moved us for the next two nights. Our deluxe queen room on the top floor was beside some kind of machinery that kept us awake all night, and the bed and pillows felt like rocks. The onsen is great, and the location is excellent.
