(Duplication) Bon comdomium Umeda

The location was good, but the room fell short. There was visible damage on the walls and floors, and the fittings were dusty. The bedding and towels were worn and need replacing; the pillows were thin and smelled stale. The fold-out futon couch was stained and dirty. The balcony was covered in dirt and unusable, as if it hadn't been cleaned in a long time, if at all. I wouldn't recommend it.

We had a clean, roomy space that worked really well for our family of four, including the pull-out bed. Bon Condominium Umeda is in a lovely little part of town, with lots of restaurants and convenience stores nearby. We loved staying here.

The hot water kept cutting out every four seconds. It runs through a machine you have to operate with buttons, and that was a miserable setup after a long day out in winter. There was also a speaker in the shared living area that beeped every 20 seconds while someone showered. The bigger issue was the broken passcode lock. A family staying next door, including young kids and an elderly person, got locked out at 10 pm, and customer service wouldn't answer. We let them into our room so they could climb over the balcony into theirs and have somewhere to sleep. With everything automated and no humans around, getting stuck outside all night without your belongings feels like a real possibility. This was a terrible experience. It seemed to me like the hotel cared more about making money than looking after guests. Please stay somewhere else if you don't want to worry about being locked out or having no hot water.

It's a decent little apartment, and check-in was easy. Three stations are nearby, so getting around was simple. The rooms were nice. The one downside was that there was no room cleaning during our stay.
