Fuku Hostel Nagomi

I had a positive first capsule-hostel stay here. The dorm was fine, and the bathroom and shower were clean. It's also really affordable, so I'd recommend it. The location is a big plus. There's a FamilyMart right downstairs for snacks, and Dotonbori St is close enough to walk to when you're looking for food.

There were events hosted by the staff for guests to socialize, which added a friendly feel. The dorms and shared bathroom were clean, and the staff kindly helped us when we checked in around midnight. The only hassle was the women's shower area: with just two stalls, we had to queue during busy hours. Still, it's a cozy place with welcoming staff.

A quiet hostel in an excellent location, with friendly staff. The lounge and kitchen have a nice wood look, and small safes are available in the lobby. The showers and toilets are shared, though each has a door you can close. Everything worked fine. There are three main bunk sections, for men, women and mixed stays. My wife and I chose the mixed area and a “double” bunk so we could sleep together. It has a bit of a box-hotel feel. One tip: there are two locations within a four-minute walk of each other. I looked up the wrong one.

The capsules were super comfortable, the baths were a pleasure to use, and the facilities were kept spotless. Staff were lovely, helpful and always up for a chat. Fuku Hostel is about a five-minute walk from Dotonbori, Osaka's main area. There's also a major subway station roughly half a meter from the front door, making it easy to get around. I'd happily stay again, 20/10.
