For a one-night stop before heading to Kansai airport, this place worked out really well. It took me a little while to find since it’s tucked into a residential area, but once there I was surprised by how quiet and comfortable it felt. The price was reasonable, too. If you’re visiting from abroad and want a taste of Japanese culture, I’d recommend it. I was glad I stayed and hope to come back someday.

Lunch was gently flavored and comforting, and the castella cake was wonderfully fluffy. The pudding had that firmer texture some people like. I felt at home here, enjoying the food and conversation so much that I stayed longer than planned. It was a lovely restaurant, and I’d like to come back.

I’ve visited a few times, and the food is delicious. The miso soup is full of ingredients and seems really healthy. I just wish they had parking.

It’s a relaxing place where time seems to slow down, and it still has the same atmosphere even though the owner has changed. The previous owner started the business and is now somewhere else. There are three lunch options to choose from. I used to look forward to the daily special, so I’m a little disappointed that it’s no longer that way. The salad and dressing are really tasty and healthy, and the dessert is delicious, though a bit small. It’s nice to relax here for tea even when you’re not having lunch.
