I only have three nights left, then I’m off to my next, hopefully better, accommodation. As an American, it’s been a nightmare to watch people not talk to each other. I was shocked by how some foreigners behaved, both here and in Osaka generally, starting at the airport. There are lots of Chinese visitors, which is cool, but I wouldn’t stay here again. The staff are definitely not Japanese, and they’re too fast. What is this, Korea? One foreigner who spoke fluent Japanese behaved better than the staff. Well-mannered, respect! My ancestors are Japanese and from Kamakura, so yeah, there’s a rivalry between Osaka and Tokyo. I was in Korea before this, and even some Koreans had better manners than some people here.
