The rules here felt strange. Check-in is only possible from 10 PM to midnight, and you have to leave by 10 in the morning. The sheets were stained and the floor hadn’t been vacuumed well, so the explanation that the room is cleaned during the day left me wondering what actually happens in there. We also heard lots of visitors in loud heels using the back door and steps behind our room in the early hours of the night, and didn’t sleep much. We weren’t allowed to open the curtains because it supposedly upsets the neighbors, even though this is a city. It made me wonder whether those late-night visitors didn’t want to be seen.

Getting here by train from the Namba exit was easy, and it’s really close to Lawson freshmart. But when we arrived there was nobody at the counter. We stayed two nights and never saw any staff there.

I stayed in room 101 at this unmanned hotel. There’s just a unit bath in the room, no toilet, so you need to use the one in the lobby. It’s an unusual arrangement.

It’s compact, with stylish decor, and you can walk to Namba. A great base for visiting Osaka.
