Fine Garden Umeda

It was a great deal for what we got, and the Umeda location was really good. I honestly wish we'd stayed longer, since this was one of the nicest budget hotels we used in Japan. At check-in we got a key and picked breakfast from a room service menu for the next morning, with delivery time available any time before the noon checkout. The room was spacious, with a big bed, sofa, and fun LED lights. The toilet was separate from the shower and tub; the tub was huge, fit two, and had jets and bubbles as well as lights. Lotions, cleansers, bath salts and a face mask made for a nice pampering evening. The adult items were limited to two condoms by the bed, a massager, some locked-up panties and lube in a cupboard, and adult movies on the TV. I think some other reviewers overreact unless we happened to get a very PG room. You do see people coming in for a few hours, but who cares? We're all adults.

We had a really enjoyable stay. Everything was clean and in good shape, and our room even included free Wi-Fi, which hadn't been mentioned in the online booking. Breakfast came to the room at the time you chose, with seven options, and there were lots of other things you could order too. The hotel sits on Umeda's main avenue, easy to find and close to many places we wanted to see. The TV, air conditioning and lights took some figuring out, but we managed.

The listing on Priceline didn't make clear that this was a love hotel, so my boyfriend and I accidentally booked two nights without knowing. The room was spacious and clean, but the place was clearly aimed at couples. There were condoms and lingerie for sale in the room, and guests seemed to check in for just an hour at a time. I wouldn't recommend staying unless you know what you're booking.

The room was clean, and thank you very much. The jacuzzi pressure wasn't strong enough, and the price felt high for a stay of just over two hours.
