Hotel Piacere Namba

The area is the best thing about this place. It's a pleasant, lively part of town for shopping and walking around, and the station is about a 12-minute walk away. The apartment was reasonably spacious, and the location partly made up for the other problems. The hours were a real drawback: check-in is 5 PM and checkout is 10 AM, which feels unusual compared with the usual 3 PM and 11 AM. I arrived at 3:30 PM with my children and luggage and asked to come in early. The room had already been cleaned and was ready, but they refused, saying cleaning was still going on. That wasn't true, and the experience felt inhumane and unwelcoming. The furniture is dated and the bedding worn. Towels were old and weren't replaced, so I strongly recommend bringing your own. The washing machine didn't work properly, the elevator smelled bad, and the digital door lock often malfunctioned. The kitchen wasn't well equipped either, with too few dishes and glasses, and the ones supplied were rusty and unsuitable for cooking. I wouldn't recommend this for families or anyone seeking comfort and decent service. If you stay, bring your own towels and avoid using the kitchenware.

It was quiet around the house, and Namba is only a five-minute walk away. The place is fairly large, cheap, and well located. The main issue was how dirty it was, with dust everywhere. They really should clean better.

The room itself is very nice, but the check-in was easily the worst part. You need a code to enter the apartment building, and we had to message them and wait outside for an hour before we got it. Send the code on the reservation day. It's such a simple fix! Without that hassle I'd give it 4.5 stars. The lobby and elevator had no AC, which was bad. They also won't allow early check-in or late checkout, even though check-in isn't until 5, which is annoying. Filling out passport details and the other information in advance barely saves time, since they make you provide some of it on the spot anyway. It was easy to do then.
