Hotel S-Presso South

The hotel was clean and nicely presented, and we enjoyed the traditional breakfast buffet. There aren't staff based there, but when we had trouble checking in on arrival, someone was available through the smart device at the front desk and was very helpful. We could also leave our luggage in the room before check-in time. We enjoyed our stay and loved Osaka.

We couldn't stay in the room at Hotel S Presso South. When we arrived at night, there was dust all over the room, including on the wall. That made me look at the A/C, which was pointed toward the wall, and I found mould all through the unit. I don't see how a room with that much dust and mould could have been properly cleaned. They offered to send someone to clean, but it was 11 pm, and that kind of cleaning shouldn't happen while someone is in the room with all their belongings. We were told all their hotels were full. After pushing because we couldn't stay there, we were moved to a room at Hotel S Presso Central. The A/C there wasn't cold at all either. It was the most uncomfortable stay of our trip. By then it was late, and we didn't want to move again, so we let it go. We asked the hotel for a refund by message, but they said they couldn't provide one. Save yourself the trouble and stay somewhere else.

The best part of our stay was Donna, who stepped in at the last minute to sort out our luggage forwarding. She was incredibly helpful. This is a self-service hotel with no staff on site, though remote help is available during daytime hours. The rooms were spacious and nice, and stays longer than four nights include complimentary cleaning.

Donna was fantastic when we needed a late check-out. The hotel is self-service, so there's no one on site to help, and the rest is handled remotely. Everything you need for the room is in reception, which is really handy. The rooms were excellent and we really enjoyed our stay. A wonderful place.
