Khaosan World Namba

The price seemed about average, and the place was decent and clean enough. But the stacked gold-painted wooden beds made the rooms noisy, and I was glad I’m not very tall. I also wasn’t sure how often they move the beds to clean underneath, because the area around my mattress didn’t look clean. At night, getting to the nearest toilet meant going down the hall and taking a cold staircase. That cost it a couple of stars for me, though the sister hostels are great.

It was much cleaner than I expected, and the place felt really cozy. The location was perfect, and I’d definitely stay again. Some people were noisy early in the morning, but I can’t really blame them when they’re packing or trying to catch a flight on time. Thanks so much! I had a really great time! When I come to Osaka again, I’ll stay here!

The beds were comfortable, and everything felt secure and safe. The facilities were okay, while the staff were really nice. There’s a big bar and common area in a place so large it almost feels like a hotel. I did find it strange that friends who weren’t staying at the hostel couldn’t come in. Hostel bars are usually open to everyone!

The staff were really friendly, and the location is handy for Namba station and Dotonbori. But we didn’t get any sleep, with guests talking loudly at night. Towels and other amenities cost a few yen at reception rather than being included. The room was okay for one night, though it’s cramped and I wouldn’t want to stay much longer. It was generally clean, but there was dust in the corners and little flies in the sink. A strange smell lingered, and we couldn’t air it out because the windows don’t open. I’ve stayed in better hostels for less, so don’t expect much.
