The only drawback for me was how loud Tsutenkaku’s bell is when it chimes on the hour. Still, the evening bells felt quite romantic, and they were useful in the morning when getting ready or heading out at a set time. I’ve visited Osaka more than 10 times, and this area offered better prices and transportation than Dotonbori, Namba or downtown. Namba, Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi are within easy reach, and being able to walk to the city center saved me a lot on transport. The room was clean, the bed extremely comfortable, and I could stay somewhere high quality for less than downtown prices. There are lots of good restaurants and shopping spots around. Since it’s a neighborhood where many locals live, shopping at Don Quijote or a drugstore within a 5-minute walk felt peaceful. Don Quijote stays open until 5 AM. There are plenty of local eateries and places to grab a quick drink, with good prices and no rip-offs. I’m 100% willing to come back and highly recommend it.

For the price, this place feels much more spacious than a typical Japanese business hotel, and it was just the right size for two of us. A tall Western man might find it a little small, though, haha. We could see Tsutenkaku’s night view from the room, and Tennoji Zoo was only a 2-minute walk away. Having 24-hour convenience stores and discount supermarkets nearby was the best part. We had convenience store food and beer parties every night, haha. There’s a JR line to Universal Studios, so getting there didn’t take long. We could also walk to Namba, Dotonbori and Denden Town. I recommend it, haha.

The subway station was close and the night view was amazing. I had a comfortable, enjoyable trip to Osaka for 7-night, 8-day, and made so many good memories thanks to this accommodation. I’d like to stay here again when I come back. Thank you.

There were more restaurants nearby than I expected, so finding somewhere to eat was easy. I stayed here during my recent Lunar New Year holiday in Japan and really liked how clean and comfortable the room was.
