The lobby became one of our favorite places. We could eat takeout there, warm food, wash up, and use the chopsticks, ice, and sugar sachets they provide. The restrooms were clean and comfortable, and the drinks machine had coffee, matcha, sencha, hot milk, and cocoa, plus soda water. Those complimentary drinks saved us quite a bit. There’s a convenience store nearby, so we often brought food back to the lobby. The staff made the stay especially memorable. They were warm and generous with their time, suggested places to visit, and helped me store breastmilk even though our room had a fridge but no freezer. One evening they invited us to a game with other guests. It was so much fun that we bought a kendama to take home and play with our kids. They gave out fruit juice and biscuits as simple prizes, a thoughtful little touch. Meander Osaka is within walking distance of Namba Station and close to the subway, which made getting around easy. The hotel looks brand new, with a modern, hip design. The room was a typical Japanese size and might feel small to some, but it worked fine for us, was spotless, and was arranged thoughtfully. There’s a coin laundry about 40 meters away, and the hotel also offers paid laundry service. We have nothing but praise for Meander Osaka. Our stay was lovely and memorable from beginning to end.

The service was superb, and everyone was so nice. Kim and Julia made our stay worthwhile, showing us traditional games and sharing Osaka’s history and culture. Kim also hosted a fun lobby event on our last day. Thanks to both of them, and to Meander! 🙌🏽🪴🌱 We had a blast on my first trip with my girlfriend. I’m writing this because we had such a pleasant time, nobody asked me to leave a review. The location worked perfectly, near Namba Station and convenience stores, and within walking distance of dontonburi and orange street. We went all out shopping. There’s a 24-hour washing and drying station right next door, and the room was clean, tidy, sanitized, and comfortable.

The staff were the best part for us. Miki, Joy, Julia, and everyone else were so friendly, thoughtful, and kind. They ran guest activities, including a takoyaki night, shared useful local tips, and Julia even made us a cute homemade guide to fuji. They also went out to dinner with us. We’re grateful for their hospitality and will recommend Meander Osaka to family and friends. We’ve visited Japan twice, and this is our favorite hotel by far for value. It’s on the lively side of dotonbori, a short walk above ground to the main strip, with underground walkways nearby too. Namba station exit 32 is very close, and Family mart is about a three-minute walk away. The rooms are clean and feel bigger than the photos. Compared with a standard APA room at the same price, there’s much more space to move around.

The room and bed are small, but everything was very clean and comfortable, and there are lots of free services. What really stood out was their willingness to help us change rooms. Trip.com kept saying we couldn’t, so we emailed Meander Osaka and they came through for us. I love this hotel and would stay again. 10/10.

Cecilia at the front desk spent a long time helping when I ran into trouble with the service I used to book a room. I’m very grateful for the care and hospitality I received throughout my stay. Meander Hotel was an amazing place, and I couldn’t recommend a better spot for a night in Osaka, especially if you want to be near Osaka station and Night life.
