Nakatsu Guesthouse Musubu

We had lots of space and a quiet apartment with everything we needed. Check-in was simple, thanks to the video instructions sent beforehand. When we needed help with the lights, the owners’ team went out of their way to find a solution. They were really helpful, and I’d recommend the place without hesitation.

A nice place to stay while traveling.

The place was comfortable and very clean. I did find water and grime sitting in the toilet brush holder, which was a small letdown. Basic dishes are supplied, but there’s no kitchen knife, so bring one if you’re planning to cook. Apart from that, it was great.

There’s a lot more room here than I expected. We could open several suitcases at once, which is unusual for a stay in Japan at this price. The guesthouse is apartment-style and has a basic kitchen with cookware, a cutting board, cutlery, cups and a microwave, so simple meals are easy to make with groceries from nearby. It’s a quiet spot for a good night’s sleep, about one stop from busy Umeda Ward. From Exit 2 of Nakatsu Station, it’s only around a 40-meter walk to the entrance. The host sent clear directions after I booked through Agoda, including how to enter the building, get the key and find the room. Check-in went smoothly. This is a self-service guesthouse, so there aren’t extensive amenities, staff or breakfast. The facilities that are there are easy to use. I was very satisfied and would consider staying here again on a future trip to Osaka.
