I liked the outdoor individual onsen, the massage chair, and the different shower gel options in the public bath area. At night you can get ramen and drinks at the level 2 restaurant before or after the onsen, during the listed serving hours, and the popsicles are unlimited. The onsen basket also came with a new pair of socks for walking around. The location was quiet and felt safe at night, with a convenience store right downstairs. It’s only a few minutes from several subway exits, so we didn’t need Google Maps, and we walked to Shinsaibashi one morning. Check-in staff were nice, and the room was clean, though the pillow was a bit small. I wasn’t keen on having to walk barefoot from the lobby shoe lockers to my room. What if another guest had a foot disease? I only realized later, after seeing a notice in the room or lift, that disposable slippers could be requested at the front desk. That was inconvenient when we came back tired at night. It’d be much better if slippers were placed by the shoe lockers, so guests could put them on from day one.

The public bath was a highlight, and there’s a cold snack afterward. The massage chair was a nice extra, too. The room suited one person well, and staff were friendly and welcoming. Being able to walk around barefoot or in the free socks gave the place a homey feel. It’s in a quiet spot, fairly near the metro, with a Lawson in the same building facing the main road. People looking for lots of shops and restaurants right outside may find the location less ideal. I stayed three nights with breakfast. It was nice to try, though it got a little repetitive after a couple of days. The hotel has a city-hotel setup with a traditional ryokan feel.

Staff were super friendly and welcoming, and the property has a calm, zen-like atmosphere. Breakfast had a good range. I’m not usually into raw fish, but I tried it, and you can make a poke bowl; there was tempura too, though I wouldn’t choose that for breakfast. On the 13th floor, the onsen has a large bath, two smaller pot baths, a dry sauna, and a cold bath at about 10-12°C that felt great. Free ice cream bars, probiotic-style drinks, and late-night yonaki soba were thoughtful little extras. The rooms were a decent size, comfortable, and had plenty of charging sockets. I wasn’t a big fan of taking shoes off at the entrance and staying barefoot around the hotel, especially with people rolling suitcases about, though very thin slippers are available. We paid ¥36,500 for two nights, Tuesday and Wednesday, with breakfast.

There’s a nice aroma as soon as you enter, and the place feels relaxing. Check-in was easy, with attentive staff who were happy to help. It’s a small, cozy hotel styled like an old Japanese house, best suited to one or two people. The amenities give it a spa-like feel: an onsen, sauna, massage chairs, Yakult milk, ice cream, and more. There’s a convenience store downstairs, and Naniwabashi Station (Naniwabashi Station) and Yodoyabashi Station (exit 16) are nearby. Comfortable and worth staying at.

The hotel is easy to reach from several nearby stations, and the staff were always available and attentive. The onsen, sauna, and bath were great, with treats afterward. Late-night noodles, happy hour, and breakfast were all good. Don’t miss the buffet breakfast.
