The beds were comfortable, but I didn’t feel my belongings were secure. The lockers were tiny, only big enough for a phone or passport, and the rooms didn’t lock, which made me uneasy about leaving anything behind. From the moment I arrived, the hostel seemed dirty. The beanbags in the common area smelled rotten, and the cooking area was filthy. The shower, sinks, living area, and kitchen were all packed into one space, which felt unsanitary and left little privacy. The toilets had no nearby sinks, so I had to go downstairs to wash my hands. The lobby smelled of cold smoke, and there was nobody at reception when I checked out. As a solo female traveler, I found the experience quite unpleasant and wouldn’t recommend it, especially to women traveling alone who want a clean, safe, and secure place.

I only stayed one night, even though I’d booked three at Osaka Namba Hostel Miyabi. I’d chosen it after seeing good reviews on Booking.com, but the stay was a disaster and left me feeling completely misled. As a solo female traveler, I felt uncomfortable and unsafe because the dorm rooms had no locks or password protection. The location is the only rating I agree with. I don’t recommend this place.

A nice host and comfortable rooms, with laundry available at the hostel. The location near Namba Station is good, and there’s a 7-11 and a family mart nearby.

I had such a good time here that I extended my stay. The hostel is clean, welcoming, laid-back, and has all the facilities I needed. I met loads of cool people, and it really felt like home. It’s in Namba, with the train station within walking distance and a great location for reaching Osaka’s attractions. Big thanks to the owner dimir, who’s friendly, great to talk with, and full of advice about places to visit in Osaka and Japan. I strongly recommend staying here, you won’t be disappointed.
