Vikas was the standout of our stay. He listened, understood the air-conditioning problem right away, arranged a cleaning and technician visit while we were out shopping, and checked back with us. The unit was blowing an unpleasant smell instead of clean air, which affected the children's breathing and comfort. When it continued, he prepared everything and arranged a room change on the same floor, giving us time and space to move. He stayed calm, polite, professional and proactive throughout. That's first-class hospitality, and he upheld the hotel's standards single-handedly. Management should recognise and retain him, and use his work as a training example. He may not be a local Japanese, but he represents the hotel better than many others, and is a real asset. The location takes some effort to reach, with a fairly long walk through nightlife streets full of pubs and bars and many drunk Japanese men. Families with children should consider whether they're comfortable with that. The room was acceptable, though the bathroom is very small, so choose with your comfort needs in mind. Service was inconsistent. On the day shift, an English-speaking woman struggled to understand a simple issue I raised, even after I explained it repeatedly. That was frustrating, especially since it involved my children.

The reception staff were especially helpful. We'd mistakenly booked a smoking room when we didn't want one, and they were quick and happy to sort it out. My partner and I had a very welcoming stay a couple of weeks ago, with a great room in a part of town that has plenty of character and interest but stays quiet at night.

The hotel was clean and pleasant, and most of the staff were very nice and helpful. The breakfast buffet was good, and it's conveniently close to the malls. Two older men on the night shift were rude and didn't speak English. They told me children over one year old count as adults in Japan and must be charged the adult buffet breakfast price. Lol, what a joke.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was good. The room felt cramped, with so little space that opening medium-sized suitcases was difficult. Breakfast was okay, but it was the same every day and could use some variety. Also, there was no “Do not disturb” sign.

The hotel was clean, well serviced and good value, with great breakfasts. We had a problem with our Expedia booking that the hotel couldn't fix because it was fully booked. Expedia's listing said the room was suitable for four, but the manager said that room type only accommodates two. Expedia refunded us $200 for its mistake. Check the bed count, stated guest number and floor area carefully. Expedia's use of “twin” doesn't mean two beds, it means one.
