The host was quick to reply and really helpful, and the location made it easy to get around, with restaurants, cafes and convenience stores close by. Dotonbori was about a 10-15 minute walk. Our apartment at H2H Shinsaibashi felt like home: spacious, clean and comfortable, with two big bedrooms, a washing machine and a balcony. I had a great stay and would recommend it to people visiting Osaka.
We stayed for 32 days and both really enjoyed it. The traditional Japanese-style room was new to me, since it was my first time in Japan, but I found it comfortable and interesting. Check-in was fairly straightforward, and the room was clean when we arrived. The 24-hour support team was great, usually replying within minutes; the agents were cordial, accommodating and understanding. It's roughly a 10-minute walk to the nearest station, right by the shopping street, with lots of stores nearby as well as restaurants, clubs and bars. The gas stove was handy for cooking. There were only two pans, which wasn't a big problem, though cooking a large meal meant washing dishes partway through. We stayed with my partner, and the place was good value for Shinsaibashi.
The location is good, but the apartment is tiny and feels cold and sterile. Sleeping was the real problem: the only bed setup was a thin foam mattress meant as a futon underlay. It felt like sleeping on the floor, and I was worried about waking up with back pain. Customer service wasn't helpful and said their policy was not to provide extra futons or bedding. I'd avoid this uncomfortable, soulless place in Osaka. Any hotel would be better.
The apartment was spacious enough for my son and me to have some privacy, and it was in good condition and well managed. Shinsaibashi station is very close, with a long shopping arcade stretching toward Namba that you can easily reach on foot. The traditional Japanese floor bed was an interesting part of this welcoming apartment-style hotel. Self check-in was a little challenging, but it made the experience feel like an escape. Great place to stay!
Nothing bad to say, it was great. The apartment was clean and comfortable, in a great location, and had everything we needed, including a kitchen and washing machine. Picking up and dropping off the key was easy, and the WiFi was excellent. 10/10, recommend!
