We arrived after 11 pm and found the shared foyer in disarray, with dirty floors, rubbish around, and piles of both dirty and apparently clean laundry. Our room had lots of hair that wasn’t ours, plus stains throughout the bathroom, including hair on the toilet seat and brown marks beneath it. I sent photos to the manager right away. They said someone would clean the next day. When we returned around 11 pm the following night, it was obvious nothing had been cleaned. The same long hairs were still in the same very noticeable place on the outside of the bathtub. I contacted the manager again, confused, and sent new photos showing what I meant. They insisted the room had been cleaned, ignored the photos, and then stopped replying. We cleaned the toilet and tub ourselves so we could feel comfortable using them. We paid almost ¥12,000 for two weekend nights, so it wasn’t especially cheap, and I received no compensation. I can’t tell whether they ever actually clean, and the manager’s rude, dishonest response put me off completely. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. Dirty.

I booked several nights and couldn’t see any CCTV. Self check-in and a messy lobby don’t bother me, and the check-in instructions were detailed. But at a hotel with no staff on site, it feels unsafe if anyone might know the code to enter. I’m also concerned that the room code for a guest who has booked could be exposed through the other checks. Lawson, shops, and restaurants are nearby.

I nearly didn’t book because of some negative reviews here and on Google Maps, but the price and location persuaded me to try it. The host came to the door about 30 seconds after we rang, and was friendly and welcoming even though his English wasn’t fluent. Our room was ready, so he let us check in early and took good care of us. The room suited our group of three, with a bed for each of us. I also loved the thoughtful nightlights. The shared bathroom and shower room were always clean, the shower pressure was fantastic, and the water temperature was just right after a day out exploring. The AC kept the room cool in the summer heat, and the bed was comfortable. Having an outlet right by the bed made charging our phones easy. The lobby was a little messy. I hope they tidy it up and make it more appealing when guests arrive, since that would make a better first impression. We were allowed to leave our bags there after checkout, though we did need to check out on time. This ended up being our favorite inn in Osaka. We were so comfortable that my family asked to book another night when we stopped in Osaka again. Thanks for a lovely stay.

The location is very convenient, with the Sakaisuji Line for local trips and the Nankai Line for local travel or a direct ride to KIX airport. The neighborhood gets very quiet by 7.00 pm, but it still feels safe to walk around or head to the nearest konbini. Although the inn mainly has separate male and female dorms, there’s also a family room with two bunk beds. They were just OK for me. Amenities are available outside the room, food isn’t allowed inside, and there’s a coin laundry for washing clothes.

It’s easy to find on Maps, just make sure you turn onto the right street. The location is great, with a 7Eleven nearby and a long street of restaurants serving snacks throughout the day. Just keep in mind that they close pretty early.
