Tones Osaka Hotel

We had a triple room and it was surprisingly spacious, one of our favorites from our Japan trip. The beds were comfortable, and the strong shower pressure was a big plus. Tones Osaka has a cozy, distinctive feel, with concrete walls and floors and a modern industrial, almost brutalist look. It’s right by the train station, so getting around is easy. The neighborhood feels trendy and local, and at night younger crowds are out partying. There are ramen shops open 24/7, which is great if jet lag has you craving food late. We’d absolutely consider staying again.

I loved the morning coffee, bread, and music in the jazzy lounge during my short three-night stay. This is a stylish little boutique hotel with a superb location, thoughtful amenities, and a good-sized room. Service was great too. The only small issue was noise. It wasn’t too bad for a light sleeper like me, since earplugs did the trick. Highly recommend.

Great location and a great hotel. I loved the coffee and juice in the lobby. We stayed in the room next to it, and people moving the chairs woke us up every morning at 7am. We couldn’t hear anyone talking, just the chairs scraping around. Maybe silent floor glides on the lobby chairs would help. I’ve updated this to 5 stars because of the thoughtful reply.

The breakfast was the one letdown: not much choice, and the selection stayed the same every day. Everything else was outstanding. Our room was exceptionally spacious for Osaka, with impressive views over the city, and the hotel is well placed for transport and plenty of interesting places within walking distance. Staff were friendly and attentive, and the place was spotless. Bathrobes, slippers, pajamas, and lots of other amenities made the stay extra comfortable. We had a wonderful time.
