The Peak Shinsabashi

The apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and the location was great. The only snag was self-check-in: the QR code wouldn’t work on my phone, though it worked fine on another smartphone. I don’t know why. I’d recommend The Peak S. to anyone.

There wasn’t any luggage storage, and with no staff on site or cleaning during our stay, it was very much self-service. Check-in and check-out were also more complicated than they needed to be: you’re sent a front door code, then use another code on the iPad to get a third code for the key box. Keep that last code, since you’ll need it again to return the key at checkout. Even with those minor hassles, we were really happy with our stay. Our apartment for two was spacious compared with other Japanese places we’ve stayed, with a double bed, a single bed, a small kitchen with a big table and chairs, and separate toilet and shower rooms. The soft beds were comfortable, everything was spotlessly clean, and the wifi was decent. The heater and air-conditioning were powerful, and hot water was always available. The location suited us too, with metro stations, restaurants, and coffee shops just a short walk away.

A comfortable place, and getting around from here was easy.
