Vessel Inn Shinsaibashi

For a couple with two carry-on bags, the small room was fine, and the price for this location felt like a steal. There were free soft drinks and other goodies too. We picked it because we were traveling with another couple, and one of them hadn't been to Osaka; being right by Dotonburi was useful. I'd give the location a 4, though, because I liked the Umeda area more on my last visit. Maybe I'm just getting older, lol. Still, if I wanted to be near Dotonburi with only a bag or two, I'd choose this spot every time. It is a business hotel, after all.

We were lucky the hotel's one parking space out front was free, which made unloading our luggage easy. The room was small, as you'd expect in Osaka, but the breakfast has a lot of variety. Every stay with the Vessel Group impresses me; this time each guest also got a complimentary cup of instant noodles, and the waffles icecream were delicious. The hotel is in the middle of Shinsaibashi, surrounded by restaurants and shopping. Thank you very much.

Even with its busy Shinsaibashi surroundings, the hotel stays quiet, and the beds are comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful, the Japanese breakfast is very good, and there's a hospitality lounge from 2 pm with water, soft drinks, tea, coffee, and a useful place to work. I liked the Combo pillow, which you can adjust to your preferred style. It's a typical four-star Japanese hotel close to the shopping area, restaurants, cafes, and bars. Coming from Shin Osaka on the Midsuji line, take exit N5 at Shinsaibashi station; the escalator brings you up just a few steps from the entrance.

The compact room had everything I needed, was very clean, and the staff were warm and incredibly helpful. Breakfast was awesome, especially because they focus on authentic Japanese food, which I loved as much as Japan and Osaka. Vessel Inn Shinsaibashi is right in the heart of Osaka's Chuo ward, close to shopping, dining, and sightseeing in Shinsaibashi and Dotonbori. The Glico Man sign is only a short walk away, so I found the location incredibly central. One small suggestion: it would be nice to have shower-only rooms without a bathtub. And a big thank you to all the taxi drivers, or "untenshu-san," who drove us around Osaka so carefully and courteously. The driver booked through the hotel for our very early airport drop was especially kind and professional. Your service is much appreciated!
