6/10
The room was roomy and the breakfast was top notch for the price. Still, I was surprised that a few basics were missing in a brand new hotel. There wasn't a waste bin in the bathroom, so I had to carry all the amenity wrappers into the main room, and there were no bars in the shower. With Japan's aging society, those bars matter more than ever. I also couldn't get a wifi signal in my room. They said they were working on it, but couldn't say when it might be fixed. If they sort out the wifi, I'd stay again on my next visit to Ota City.

The meals were great and left me feeling refreshed. The hotel itself was nice, and the views from the upper-floor rooms were lovely.

The service was awesome, though the room and its decor felt very dated.

The room was small, as you'd expect at a usual hotel, but it was acceptable for the price.
