When a guest had a skiing fall and needed to get to the clinic, the Canopy staff quickly picked up the phone and arranged transport, logistics, and communication. In a stressful situation in a foreign country where things can be confusing, they had the guest’s back. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly, always putting guests first. Canopy also gives you wonderful accommodation and such a positive, supportive network throughout the valley. Thanks for being an awesome team!

The beds and bedrooms were incredibly comfortable, the place felt homely, and the shared spaces were welcoming. The food was absolutely incredible, and the staff were amazing. I’d heard a lot of good things before staying at Canopy, so my expectations were high, but the stay still exceeded them. Thanks to Mike and his team!

The food here was great. The service was the best I’ve had, without feeling pretentious. Eimar, the manager, was awesome, and Connor, Liam, Sarah, and Michelle were all really helpful and friendly.

Canopy Cortina has a friendly feel and is spotlessly clean. Breakfast was delicious, and the dinners were worthy of a Michelin star. The staff are lovely and seem to care about the lodge as much as owners Emily and Mike do. It’s a perfect spot if you want a quieter stay focused on snow sports, with the option to head into town. This is the best place I’ve stayed in Japan for a snow holiday. We’ve already booked again for next snow season, and I couldn’t recommend it more.

Emily, Mike, and their staff looked after us so well. They were amazing hosts, and nothing was too much trouble. A fantastic lodge, and we’ll be back to Cortina next time.
