Takashi was such a kind and accommodating host. We got in late at night and had to leave earlier than planned, and he handled everything with so much care. The cats are ridiculously cute, probably the cutest in the world, and the clean, comfortable place is thoughtfully set up for a lovely cat-focused stay. The location was perfect too. We can't recommend it enough.
The owner was friendly, and the cats were cute. It's an old-fashioned traditional room with futons and a shared bathroom. There is free parking, and the location really only works for visitors who are driving.
I didn't realize this inn was actually a cat cafe with a room, and there's just one room for two people. The owner was kind and chatty, and having the cat cafe access included with the booking made it a fun experience. The room had the usual facilities like a heater and TV, though the heater cost an extra 1000 yen. It's a fair walk from otaru station, including an uphill stretch. I could have showered before 8pm, but thought I could do it the next morning and then found it couldn't be used. I hadn't paid close enough attention to the instructions.
The cats were so sweet. Maro-chan sat on my lap while I waited, and when I sat quietly on the floor they all came over. I wanted to catch Ichigo-chan's cat punch 🤭. The guest rooms have tatami, Japanese-style rooms that felt really relaxing. Thanks so much for being so welcoming. I'd love to come back ✨ m(_ _)m
We hadn't planned our visit, but they let us in anyway, thank you! Maro-chan was adorable and friendly, and sat on my lap before jumping into my son's bridge pose, lol. There's a big parking lot too.
