Stay's OTARU

The parking setup needs work. Spaces aren't assigned by car size, and some people park carelessly, leaving my car unable to fit in its spot. Lot 10 sits in front of a building structure, so if a car is there, the space at lot 8 in front of it can't be used when the other spots are full. Since it's a dead end and cars need room for a three-point turn, lot 10 would be better left empty. In the room there were two queen beds but only two high chairs, and nowhere proper to hang clothes. A basic wall hanger would help, especially in winter when we had lots of things to dry. There should be hooks by the entrance for coats and on other walls too. How are four people meant to hang their clothes? The top-loading washer-dryer still left things wet after four hours. People staying in apartments end up hanging clothes over curtain rods and door handles. The landlord should do a better job; a look at other Japan apartments would show the difference.

The location was great, close to the main tourist street and a Coop supermarket, and free parking was very handy. The apartment was new and clean, with roomy spaces and a well-stocked kitchen, including cooking basics and sauces. It was a comfortable and convenient stay.

The view was especially superb, and the place was clean and well priced. The hotel had all the amenities and was very nice, though there was so much detail and information to learn that it felt a bit excessive.

Although getting to the property takes some effort because of its location, there are plenty of parking spaces. You can still walk to the walking street and nearby attractions. It seems set up for longer stays, with amenities, cookware, dining gear, and a washing machine. I liked the bathtub with its outside view, and there's an elevator to every floor. The bedroom light can be dimmed.
