Sanuki Green Hotel

The rice and miso soup were delicious, and I slept well on the comfortable bed. I was on a business trip, and the Wi-Fi in my room worked without any connection trouble. The hotel was full that night, though, and I could hear noise from upstairs until late. The shared toilet was a bit disappointing, though that might depend on the room.

Used in February 2024. The room was clean and tidy, and there’s a large communal bath for men only. It’s about a 10-minute walk from Ryugasaki Station, with a 7-Eleven near the hotel and a FamilyMart and restaurants at the station. The Wi-Fi signal was weak, and the walls seemed thin, so some sound came through. The automatic entrance doors are switched off at night and in the early morning, but you can open them by hand.

The front desk staff were very friendly, and the place is great value for money. They have bicycles to rent, which makes it easy to get to the supermarket. The bathtub is only big enough for around two people.

Room 300 on the hotel map was clearly the largest, and it felt like an ordinary apartment. We were four family members returning from Ibaraki Ride and stayed in that 2LDK room. With two bedrooms and so much space, we were able to relax comfortably. The building is old and worn, but it was clean. The bathroom had a slight smell. All the staff were kind and welcoming, and even took time to talk to our children. The food was delicious, too. It’s a shame dinner service is ending at the end of November 2022, though breakfast will continue.
