Hotel Route Inn Iyo Saijo

The public bath was nice, and there are all sorts of shops and services nearby. Staff were five stars, and breakfast was solid for the price. But the bed was hard as a rock, and the room's internet wasn't reliable. In 2025, I expect a hotel room in a developed country to have working internet as much as a toilet, so I took off a star for that and the bed.

It's clean and in a convenient spot, with plenty of places to eat close by, though the building is older. The rooms are smaller than what you'd find in a standard US hotel, since it's set up for Japanese business travelers. I wouldn't choose it for a long stay.

For a fairly low price, this was a very good stay. The rooms were clean and good, and breakfast was good too. Staff were extremely helpful. There's no laundry service, but you can use the self-service washers and dryers. The internet did drop out sometimes, though it was mostly a very good stay.

It's a budget business hotel in Saijo with easy access to plenty of places to eat and drink, as well as a convenience store and department store. They serve breakfast, but not lunch or dinner.
