This is the JR Metz Hotel, a small place in a really handy spot near the station. The rooms are quiet and clean, and the Wi-Fi worked without any hassle, so I think it suits a business stay well. They use an automatic check-in system, with amenities picked up at the front desk, and you can check out on the TV in your room. My fourth-floor room looked onto the station platform, but I couldn't hear the trains, probably thanks to the double-sash windows. The room felt new and was comfortable, from the unit bath to the air conditioning and bedding. I also liked the free coffee machine by reception and the range of amenities. It seems management is making an effort to keep costs down.

My room was tiny, but the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and well equipped. Urawa station is right next door. DENNY'S on the first floor serves the hotel breakfast. Check-in is done by machine, with friendly staff around, and amenities are available at the front desk. There's also a coffee machine and ice machine nearby. The cleaning instructions were good.
