Kamenoi Hotel Nagano Saku

The staff were polite and helpful, and the Japanese-style buffet breakfast was filling, with plenty to eat. I stayed here before going mountain climbing and had a very nice first visit. The old mixer taps in the unit bath and sink didn't bother me, maybe that's the Showa-era person in me 😁. I'd stay here again if I were in the area.

Eating out takes some effort because of the distance, so keep that in mind. Still, I felt the price was good for what I got. The room seemed a little small, maybe because it was a deluxe room, but I was only there to sleep and it didn't bother me. Breakfast was quite substantial for something included as a bonus.

The location was convenient, right by the highway, and the rooms felt spacious for the price. We stayed as a family, and the kids were excited to try bunk beds for the first time. Getting out of the top bunk made the adults a bit nervous, though. Breakfast didn't have much bread, but there was enough.

At 9,000 yen for two people with breakfast included, it was cheap and I have no complaints. The double-sized bunk beds were roomy, though with lots of luggage two people might feel a little cramped.
