We booked this place for a family retreat. The interior was larger than expected, clean, and stylishly renovated, so it was a very pleasant stay. The owner was kind enough to bring us organic vegetables, which touched us. There was a lovely range of tableware, and we could see the courtyard garden from the dining table. It was a charming way to enjoy the atmosphere of Nara's ancient capital. We’d gladly return if we get the chance.
We had the place to ourselves, so we could really relax. Seasonal flowers had been arranged around the house, and the roses smelled wonderful. The space and comfort are a great deal for the price. I stayed with friends, and we got tips about the area when we arrived. We tried local food, including a nearby curry restaurant and kusamochi rice cakes. In the evening, we walked to a hot spring nearby.
We had a restful family stay in this cozy old house. The interior felt natural, the small Japanese garden was relaxing, and the facilities were well equipped. It’s conveniently located on the approach to Hasedera Temple, and we also visited Omiwa Shrine, Muroji Temple in Uda, and Asuka Village.
