2024.09 The price felt high for a stay that was closer to camping than a proper rental, and it has no connection to the JR. Noise from the surroundings was constant, so I really wouldn't stay on a Saturday night. The mattress was soft and sagged, the shower room was barely big enough for toddlers, and the amenities were very poor. The sink, washing machine, and drain were laid out incorrectly, so the machine's grey water drained badly and flowed back.

The station was close, which made getting around easy, and the room looked even prettier than it did in the photos. It was clean and cute, and I was comfortable throughout my stay. Any questions I sent were answered quickly and politely, with a lot of care. The room did feel a little dry, but wearing a mask was enough for me. I felt safe there and would happily stay again.

There’s a 7-Eleven nearby, and the room itself was comfortable and clean, with nice wood trim. It had WiFi, heating and air conditioning, a washing machine, fridge, IH stove, microwave, and stainless steel dishes for basic cooking. The shower measured just 65*65 cm. The low bunk beds and low TV and living room setup could be awkward for someone 190cm tall, so watch your head. It’s a small guesthouse with self-service check-in: three rooms are in a row, and you pick up the room key at the counter outside the first one. The downside is being close to Kotoshi Station. Trams pass constantly, and you hear them until the last train leaves.

There’s a park right in front, a convenience store a one-minute walk away, and several restaurants within five minutes. Free parking and easy access make the place handy for families or longer stays, and the trailer-style rooms feel like a fun change. You can manage without staff nearby, though getting help can take time. The hotel sits under an elevated railway, so night trains may bother some people. Earplugs are provided and may help a bit. Laundry detergent is supplied generously, so towels and other amenities can be washed and reused. The bathroom has only a shower booth, and it’s so small that a parent and child can’t easily share it. Bringing young children who can’t wash themselves may be difficult. Once kids are elementary school age, it should be fine.
