Premier Hotel Cabin Sapporo

The smoke smell was hard to escape, even in the main lobby. The place looks nice, but that lingering odor made it unpleasant to sit there and noticeable every time I came and went. Since smoking is allowed in the hotel, this is a real drawback for non-smokers or anyone sensitive to it. The room was comfortable, and I slept well on the beds and pillows. I also appreciated the Japanese-style touches, including pajamas, slippers, toothbrushes, hairbrushes and razors. Having an onsen included was especially welcome in winter. It’s a convenient, comfortable stay, but the smoke is a big problem.

We stayed here over the holidays, and I’d happily come back on another trip. The staff were very good, and the onsen was amazing. Women get a passcode for the women’s onsen, and they change it every day. There’s plenty within walking distance, including convenience stores, Susukino, Round 1 and the train station. It made getting around easy, and we had a great stay. 😎

The location worked well for us, with just a short walk to the streetcar. I also really enjoyed breakfast. It was delicious and had some fun surprises, like white wine and Ezo deer curry. It would’ve been excellent if the front desk staff could speak a little English.

Breakfast wasn’t a huge spread, but everything was tasty and well prepared. I especially liked the pancakes with whipped cream and honey, and the ice cream was delicious too. I booked a superior double. It was spacious and spotless, with a good hair dryer, fresh towels each day and pajamas provided. The bed wasn’t especially luxurious, but it was comfortable and I slept fine. The open-air onsen was always empty when I went. It takes a climb up the stairs, but I thought it was worth it. I couldn’t fault the place and would stay again.
