The location was great, but the room felt small for two people. I booked 7 nights and couldn’t adjust the air conditioner temperature, so I slept with the window open for the week. Cleaning time was limited, and during our 7-night stay we were only able to choose room cleaning twice, so the room wasn’t clean for another tourist.

The location was fantastic, close to the train station and several stores, and the reception staff were accommodating. I also liked the free lobby amenities, including cleansing oil and DIY bath salts. Still, at 140,000¥ for 4 nights during the Snow Festival, I expected better value. The room was very cramped, especially with large luggage. It wasn’t clean enough either: there were soap marks in the washroom and thick dust on the humidifier and under the bed. There was no complimentary drinking water in the room, so drinks had to be bought from the vending machine. Hangers were limited, and breakfast was repetitive.

It’s handy having a vending machine and microwave on the 5th floor, and there’s paid parking beside the property. The staff were helpful and resourceful, using an AI translator when they didn’t speak English. The coffee machine was good, too. The location is great for walking to Mega Don Quixote and the shopping area. But the room was extremely cramped, with no floor space to unpack a large suitcase. It looked clean at first, though under the bed and around the vents were really filthy. Breakfast was the same every day during our 4-day stay, with no variety.

The staff were helpful, and check-in and check-out were easy. I left my bags at the desk for a few hours after checking out. The room was small but cozy, in a pleasant area where it was easy to get around on foot. Bath salts were available in the lobby for using in your own room, which was nice. But tattoos aren’t allowed in the public bath, and I found that really disappointing. The stay was fine, but I wouldn’t return because of that policy.

The bath salts and herbs were a highlight. You can make your own bath, and they smell lovely. Lavender, rose, and milk were my favorites. There’s also an onsen and spa for guests, though I was too shy to try a public bath and be naked around others. The room was larger than other hotels in the same price range, and Susukino’s shopping strips are just a few minutes’ walk away. Great value for money, and I’d definitely stay again.
