A beautiful natural setting with few tourists, and good value. In the off season, you can have the big hot spring to yourself. The hotel restaurant has a basic menu and shuts at 7 pm, so booking a separate kaiseki dinner is a good idea if you want to eat at a relaxed pace without watching the clock.
A great spot for cherry blossom viewing.
I was nearby for business and came to Sayo Town. Since it was raining, I stopped in for a warm soak. The water was wonderful and warmed up my chilled body. The place was clean and well maintained, and it was child-friendly too, which I appreciated.
The food was delicious ♪ It was just a little hard to spot since it’s on a curve, but otherwise it was great.
